1）安全性。电梯导轨影响电梯的安全的因素主要是导轨的材质。导轨材质过硬或不均匀（局部过硬），在安钳制动时夹紧将得不到足够的摩擦力，会造成制动失效，发生轿厢坠落这一电梯事故中最严重的工况。导轨也要有足够的强度，以保证安全钳制动时对轿厢及冲击力的支撑。

b.导轨导向面粗糙度：导轨导向面粗糙度直接影响到导靴在导向面上能否平滑运行，同时也影响润滑油的储存，从而影响轿厢的运行质量。

c.导轨的直线度及扭曲度：导轨上任何一点的弯曲及扭曲都会给轿厢一个侧力，影响轿厢上下的直线运动，使轿厢有晃动感，随着电梯速度提高，轿厢会有振动感，从而影响舒适度。
